“Wall of Shame” Makes Debut

A“Wall of Shame” featuring the college rejection letters of graduating seniors is on display in the history wing.

According to Guidance Department Chair Lynn Medsker, the purpose of the wall is for students to “take comfort” in the rejection letters, to create an environment where everyone is in it together, and to show that everyone gets rejections.

The idea for the wall was first proposed to Medsker by a senior.  Such walls are popular among many schools in the area.

Despite this popularity, in a small survey of WHS seniors, five out of twelve said they would not participate.  Senior Emily Dukeman stated, “I would consider participating more since it can be anonymous.”
